My Klipsch The Sevens support record
Both pairs of The Sevens I have owned have failed. The second pair was supplied directly by Klipsch as a replacement. Klipsch twice confirmed in writing that warranty coverage continued on the replacement; when it stopped producing output, support said there was no further warranty.
Current status
I am asking Klipsch to accept the failed B-stock Sevens and provide a new pair of passive RP-600M II speakers in ebony, together with suitable return packaging and a prepaid return label, instead of another powered replacement pair.
Timeline
-
December 2025
Original pair fails
After Klipsch-directed firmware recovery, multiple-input testing, and diagnostics, support wrote that the condition “sounds like an amp issue.”
-
December 15–30, 2025
Replacement amplifier quoted at $370.12 each
Klipsch treated the secondhand B-stock speakers as outside warranty and maintained its quoted amplifier price.
-
January 2026
BBB escalation changes the offered remedy
After my Better Business Bureau complaint, Klipsch approved a no-charge replacement amplifier as a “one-time courtesy.”
-
January–May 2026
The amplifier remains backordered
The expected late-March/early-April availability window passed. After I escalated through Klipsch’s Instagram account, Klipsch offered a complete B-stock replacement pair.
-
May 11, 2026
Written warranty statements conflict
In the same day’s correspondence, Klipsch first said there would be no further warranty, then said the original warranty would continue after return of the defective pair.
-
June 8, 2026
Return received; warranty confirmation repeated
After Klipsch received the original defective pair, support again confirmed that the original warranty would continue on the replacement product.

September 7, 2026
Customer-reported
Replacement pair loses main-speaker output
I reported clicking and intermittent output followed by silent main speakers. The subwoofer pre-output remained functional.
-
September 9, 2026
Klipsch says there is no further warranty
Support said the condition “could be wireless interference” and recommended moving the speakers away from the router or to another location. At that time, I had reported that the speakers were connected to my PC by USB, neither main speaker was producing output, and the subwoofer pre-output continued to pass signal.

September 11, 2026
Tickets merged without a substantive resolution
I sent a written escalation. Klipsch merged ticket #886255 into the current consolidated ticket #887216 and closed #886255. The merge notices were administrative only and did not provide a substantive response or resolution.
The documented warranty conflict
“Since these speakers are being sent as a courtesy … there would be no further warranty.”
Klipsch support, May 11, 2026
“The original warranty will continue based on the original date of purchase for the replacement product.”
Klipsch support, May 11, 2026
“Your original warranty will continue on your replacement product.”
Klipsch support, June 8, 2026, after receipt of the original pair
“No further warranty.”

What I am asking Klipsch to do
- Accept return of the failed B-stock replacement pair.
- Provide a new pair of passive RP-600M II speakers in ebony instead of another powered pair of The Sevens.
- Provide suitable return packaging and a prepaid return label for the failed Sevens.
- Confirm the resolution in writing so this page can accurately reflect the outcome once the matter is genuinely resolved.
Record and evidence
Source treatment
Dates and quotations here come from the available support correspondence and escalation record. The reported symptoms of the replacement pair are identified as my direct account. This page does not claim a company-wide defect rate, assign motive, or make a legal conclusion.
I will add redacted source emails, screenshots, and a continuous failure-demonstration video as they are prepared. The Klipsch Instagram representative was a helpful exception: they responded, escalated the issue, and followed up on the order problem.
Outcome
This is an open record. If Klipsch resolves the requested remedy, I will update this page with the final outcome rather than leave the dispute unresolved in public.
